Terms of Use
Last updated: September 20, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Velora ("Velora", "the app"), a mobile application provided by kodmap. By downloading or using Velora, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Safety notice. Velora records activity outdoors and is used while you are moving. Do not operate the app while driving, and do not let it take your attention from traffic, terrain or your surroundings. Follow the rules of the road and of the places you train in. Velora is not a navigation product and must not be relied on to find your way, and it is not a medical device. You use it at your own risk.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Velora, subject to these Terms and to the terms of the store you obtained it from.
The videos, posters and images you generate with Velora are yours, and you may use them for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial. That does not transfer any right in Velora itself, in its templates, or in the map data underneath them.
2. Subscriptions & billing
- Velora is free to use. Recording, your activity archive, imports and the free templates never cost anything. Velora Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks the remaining templates, 4K export, watermark removal and the music library.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. The price is shown in the app before you confirm and may vary by region and over time.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Where a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited if you buy a subscription before the trial ends.
- Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account or Google Play account settings. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable; refunds are handled by the store under its own policy.
- For purchases made through the App Store, Apple's standard licence terms also apply: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
3. Your activities and your content
You retain ownership of everything you record, import and create. Velora stores it on your device; we do not receive it, and we claim no rights in it. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you import and for having the right to use any photo you add.
4. Sharing a route
Velora can produce a link that carries the shape of a route. The route travels inside the link itself — in the part after the #, which browsers never send to a server — so we neither receive nor store it, and we cannot retract a link once you have sent it.
A route link contains real geographic coordinates. You are responsible for deciding who receives one. If you do not want a route to reveal where you start or finish, set up a privacy zone before you share it: zones are applied before the link is created, not afterwards. Do not share routes that would disclose someone else's home or movements without their agreement.
5. Accuracy of measurements
Distance, pace, speed, elevation, calories, cadence and heart rate are estimates derived from your device's sensors and from any sensor you connect. Consumer GNSS, barometric and optical sensors have real error, which grows under tree cover, between tall buildings and in poor weather. Elevation figures in particular are approximations. Velora's numbers are not suitable for any purpose where accuracy is legally or medically consequential, including competition results, insurance claims or medical decisions.
6. Music
Velora includes original tracks produced for and owned by kodmap. Your subscription grants you the right to use those tracks as part of a video you export from Velora, including on social platforms and in commercial posts. It does not grant you the right to extract, redistribute, resell, sample or license the tracks themselves, or to use them separately from a Velora export.
If you use music from your own device's library in connection with a post, you are responsible for having the rights to do so.
7. Map data
Basemaps are built from OpenStreetMap data, served via OpenFreeMap and OpenMapTiles. OpenStreetMap data is made available under the Open Database License. The map attribution shown on generated frames is a licence obligation, not branding: it is present in free and Pro exports alike and must not be removed, obscured or cropped out.
8. Imports and third-party services
Velora reads GPX, TCX and FIT files and export archives you provide. It has no affiliation with, and no integration into the accounts of, Strava, Garmin, Polar, Suunto, COROS, Wahoo, Runkeeper or any similar service; it simply reads files those services let you export. Their trademarks are named only to describe compatibility. You are responsible for complying with the terms of any service you export data from.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the app, including: reverse-engineering it except where permitted by law; interfering with its operation or security; circumventing the subscription or the attribution described in section 7; using it unlawfully; or using it to harass, track or endanger another person.
10. Intellectual property
Velora, its name, design, templates, music and trademarks are owned by kodmap or its licensors and are protected by law. Map data and any other third-party content are provided under their respective licences.
11. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, kodmap is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages — including injury, loss of data, or loss arising from reliance on a measurement or on a shared route — and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects the statutory rights of consumers.
12. Termination
You may stop using Velora at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. The "Last updated" date reflects the current version.
14. Governing law & contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence. Questions: kodmapdev@gmail.com — see also Contact and Privacy Policy.
